I highly recommend the two-day-trip with Eddie in North Sulawesi which I made in November 2018:
The local market at Tomohon with fish, fruit and vegetables, I had never seen before, not to mention jungle rats, bats, snakes, and slaughtered dogs!
Tankoko Nature reserve, where we were surrounded by monkeys in the dusk
Batuputih fishermen village where every interesting detail was shown and explained
Waruga megalith stone graves,
The Tondano lake with islands of floating waterlilies – so beautiful – and a good place for lunch,
Mahawu volcano and hot springs,
The Woloan “knock-down-house” industry
– and much more.
You couldn’t get a better guide than Eddie. So knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. I enjoyed every minute of his company.
